Everything is apparently not awesome for “The Lego Movie” fans.
Warner Bros. has reportedly pushed the release date of “Lego Movie 2” back to 2019.
There’s no explanation why the sequel to the 2014 hit is moving from May 18, 2018 to February 8, 2019.
Other schedule shuffles include the Gerard Butler drama “Geostorm,” which has been pushed back a second time. Originally supposed to open October 21, 2016, the Dean Devlin-directed film was moved to January 13, 2017 and now October 20, 2017.
“Geostorm” is flip-flopping openings with Ben Affleck‘s “Live By Night.” The period crime piece was slated to open October 20, 2017 and will now bow on January 13, 2017.
Meanwhile, the Ed Helms–Owen Wilson comedy “Bastards” is moving up from November 4, 2016 to January 27, 2017. That prevents it from going head-to-head with Marvel’s highly anticipated “Dr. Strange.”
Lego film fans can still look forward to “Lego Batman Movie” in February 2017.
