‘Lie to Me’ Doesn’t Get Back-Nine Order… But Isn’t Canceled

Show will cede Mondays-at-9 timeslot after Jan. 31 episode

"Lie to Me," Fox's twisty lie-detection drama, hasn't gotten a back-nine order — but it isn't canceled, a network source says.

Under the network's midseason schedule, "Lie to Me" is expected to run its current 13 episodes until Jan. 31. On Feb. 7, new series "The Chicago Code" will take over it's 9 p.m. Monday slot.

A decision on whether the show could get a back-nine order — or could be canceled — will be made in the spring.

This isn't the first odd season for the show, which has pulled respectable numbers in different time slots. Last season, Fox ordered 22 episodes, but aired 10 in the fall and 12 in the summer.
