South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham warned “The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah on Wednesday that he had better hurry to get his green card in case Donald Trump wins this fall’s presidential election.
“Are you a citizen,” Graham asked the South Africa native on his Comedy Central show.
“If Trump wins, your days are numbered, pal. Young black liberal guy from Africa is not going to work with him,” Graham said. “Donald is like being shot in the head. You might find an antidote to the poisoning — I don’t know, but maybe there’s time.”
Earlier in the interview, the former GOP candidate admitted that he has endorsed Ted Cruz despite having numerous disagreements with the Texas senator.
Noah then played a video from February in which Graham said, “If you kill Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody could convict you.”
Graham explained that his endorsement for Cruz is more of a shot at Trump.
“I don’t dislike Ted. Ted and I have a lot of differences,” Graham said. “He was my 15th choice. What can I say?”
