Lionsgate has acquired North American rights to "Kick-Ass," a super-hero action-comedy from writer/director Matthew Vaughn.
Based on the best-selling comic by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr., "Kick-Ass" stars Nicolas Cage, Aaron Johnson and Christopher Mintz-Plasse in a story about about a comic-book fanboy who wants to be a real-life superhero.
The screenplay was written by Vaughn and Jane Goldma, and it’s produced by Vaughn, Brad Pitt, Tarquin Pack and Kris Thykier.
