Lou Dobbs Apologizes for Tweeting Donald Trump Accuser’s Personal Info

Fox Business host quoted a tweet that included contact information for Jessica Leeds

Fox Business Network host Lou Dobbs apologized on Thursday for sending a tweet with the personal information of Donald Trump accuser Jessica Leeds.

“My Retweet,My Mistake,My Apology to Jessica Leeds Lou Dobbs tweets Trump accuser’s address and phone #,” Dobbs wrote in a follow-up tweet.

Earlier on Thursday, Dobbs quoted a tweet that provided the address and phone number for Leeds, a 74-year-old woman who told The New York Times that Trump groped her three decades ago in a story that was published on Wednesday.

Dobbs, who has 793,000 Twitter followers, quoted a tweet from a conservative news organization and added the message, “This is the dirtiest campaign in our history.”

The organization’s website published Leeds’ personal information that it obtained from public records, according to Politico. Dobbs is a Trump supporter and added the hashtags “MAGA,” “TrumpPence16” and “America First” to the since-deleted original tweet.

In the Times story, Leeds, of New York, and Rachel Crooks of Ohio both detailed encounters they claimed they had with the Republican presidential nominee in which he made inappropriate sexual advances.

“He was like an octopus,” Leeds, 74, said of her alleged run-in with Trump on an airplane more than 30 years ago.

“His hands were everywhere,” she said, adding that Trump had lifted the arm rest separating them and, as the Times paraphrased it, “grabbed her breasts and tried to put his hand up her skirt.”

Several women have accused Donald Trump of lewd behavior since the Washington Post reported that he bragged to Billy Bush on a hot mic in 2005 that he kisses and gropes women. Trump has called the comments "locker room talk" and denied assaulting women.
