Margaret Cho: Sarah Palin Forced Bristol Into ‘Dancing’ — to Aid 2012 Run

Cho says Palin blames Bristol for losing the election, and wanted her to curry favor with voters for the upcoming election

How long before the cries of “Free Bristol Palin!” begin?

Margaret Cho, who briefly co-starred with Palin on this season’s “Dancing With the Stars,” blogged Monday that Bristol only did the show because Sarah Palin forced her to, part of a plan to get Americans to “fall in love with her again” in the runup to the 2012 election.

Keeping in mind that Cho is a comedian and not a journalist, she offered this description of her source:  “I heard from someone who really should know (really should seriously know the dirt really really).”

And she opens her post with this caveat: “Everyone was trying to pit me against Bristol, but the truth is, we got along well. She never asked me to babysit Tripp or anything like that, but I consider her a friend.”

Then she gets to the stuff that will probably alter their "friend" status:

“Why did Bristol do Dancing with the Stars? That the only reason Bristol was on the show was because Sarah Palin forced her to do it. Sarah supposedly blames Bristol harshly and openly (in the circles that I heard it from) for not winning the election, and so she told Bristol she ‘owed’ it to her to do ‘DWTS’ so that ‘America would fall in love with her again’ and make it possible for Sarah Palin to run in 2012 with America behind her all the way.”

Cho praises and defends Palin’s dancing, but seems to realize that she’s wading into dangerous waters: “Keep in mind there are other forces at work here and it’s not just for the love of dance. … Now I am scared I am going to wake up with a decapitated moose head in my bed.”
