If you (like me) had a blood-soaked childhood thanks to an arcade cabinet containing a little game called “Mortal Kombat,” September 26 is a big day for you. Adopting the Netflix model, season 2 of “Mortal Kombat: Legacy II” is premiering in its entirety on Machinima.
Following the 70 million plus viewed first season, “Mortal Kombat: Legacy II” will catch up with the brawlers and focus on the tournament featured in the game franchise.
Season two brings back director Kevin Tancharoen and writers Josh Baizer and Marshall Johnson. Some new faces are also joining the combat including Glee’s Harry Shum, Jr. and Cary Tagawa who played Shang Tsung in the original Mortal Kombat film as well.
“Mortal Kombat: Legacy II” is produced by Warner Bros. with Machinima hosting the series on their main YouTube channel.
