A month after locking in a partnership with ZEFR, Fuisz Media is bringing its hovering interactive video tech to the AwesomenessTV YouTube channel. The result of this new partnership can be seen below, which features a video promoting and linking to products from the clothing company Wet Seal.
Above, the hosts of “IMO” can be seen wearing Wet Seal products, which if selected, will take users to a purchase page. This is all done via Fuisz’s fluid “pixel technology.” The technology, unlike static YouTube annotations, follows an element in the video — whether it’s a person or a product — wherever and whenever it moves on the screen.
According to a statement from Fuisz, since the video went live on Tuesday, many of the products linked up via the pixel technology have sold out.
Brands have recently started seeing the potential that YouTube creators and online celebrities have for marketing and selling products. In the case of the “IMO” cast, these are young women with an audience of millennials who trust and admire them. Through Fuisz technology, brands are now able to market to audiences directly through the creators they love. With the addition of a digital marketplace like the Wet Seal website, selling to audiences has become easier than ever, especially as Fuisz technology directs viewers to a third-party site with little to no hassle.
