VEVO has officially launched in Germany, making the European nation the 13th country the music video service is available in. As previously announced, the German launch brings VEVO’s library of 75,000+ music videos, concerts, and original programming to viewers in the country.
VEVO content will be accessible online as well as via its apps for mobile devices and other connected devices like the Apple TV, Xbox, and Roku. Notably, VEVO’s German debut is happening without YouTube as a partner — the content will only be available through VEVO.
To celebrate the launch, VEVO says it plans to debut new content, including original programs, throughout this month. As part of its “31 Originals” campaign, VEVO will exclusively premiere new videos from German artists and other international musicians each day of October.
VEVO Germany is based in Berlin and led by Tina Funk, a music business veteran in the country.
