Organizers of the fourth annual Abu Dhabi Media Summit have announced that top executives from Discovery Networks International, Viacom, Google, and Twitter will speak at the international media gathering. Although no specifics regarding who the speakers will be or what they will be presenting have been given yet, the Abu Dhabi Media Summit itself has been christened with the theme “Leveraging the Digital Age.”
Whoever the executives are, they will be joining a long list of influential speakers who have appeared at previous Abu Dhabi Media Summits. Past speakers include Eric Schmidt, Rupert Murdoch, Bill Gates, and director James Cameron.
With the Summit being geared towards the digital age, one can hope that Discovery Networks International will speak at length about its latest venture into the web video space through Discovery Digital Networks, which counts Revision3, TestTube, and the Philip DeFranco Network as key verticals. Though Discovery’s TV properties are also known to use digital in various ways to drive TV viewership.
The 2013 Abu Dhabi Media Summit takes place October 22–24.
