‘The X-Files’ Creator’s Amazon Pilot Adds to Cast

Most of Amazon’s original programming slate might be focused on comedy and kids content, but that doesn’t mean the streaming service is ignoring high-profile dramas.
Since ordering a pilot for “The After,” a new sci-fi thriller from Chris Carter, the creator of “The X-Files,” Amazon Studios and Carter have been working to fill out the potential series cast. Jamie Kennedy (“Scream”), Adrian Pasdar (“Heroes”), and Aldis Hodge (“Leverage”) signed on to star in the pilot about two weeks ago. Now, per Deadline, French actress Louise Monot and Sam Littlefield have joined the pilot. Other cast members include Sharon Lawrence, Andrew Howard, Arielle Kebbel, and Jaina Lee Ortiz.
Written and directed by Carter, “The After” takes place during the exact time of the Apocalypse. And if you know anything about Carter and “The X Files,” that is probably just the beginning for a whole host of other creepy/weird/scary things. The series is produced by Georgeville TV.
