DanceOn’s hit YouTube series “Dance Showdown” is making its way back to the small screen starting in early November.
We reported on the third season earlier this month after behind-the-scenes images from the show surfaced on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. At the time, it looked as if Joe Penna (MysteryGuitarman), Sam Pepper + Lancifer, and Steve Kardynal would join season three as contestants, which proved to be true. In addition to Penna, Pepper, and Kardynal; YouTubers Strawburry17, Lindsey Stirling, Egoraptor, Macbby11, and GlamLifeGuru will also be joining the dance competition.
Joey Fatone and VMA-winning choreographer Laurieann Gibson will also return as judges, with Dominic “D-Trix” Sandoval coming back on as host. Serving in the third judge’s chair will be YouTube comedian Kassem G, who will be replacing season two’s rotating slate of guest judges.
The series (if you couldn’t guess by the name), will place the famous YouTubers with professional dancers and choreographers as they attempt to perform the best dance routines. Season one of “Dance Showdown” awarded winners with $25,000, while season two bumped up the winnings to $100,000. Season three, however, will offer the winning dance team $50,000.
DanceOn, the production studio behind “Dance Showdown,” was founded by Amanda Taylor with partnerships from Madonna, Guy Oseary, and Machinima CEO Allen DeBevoise.
