Earlier this month, Netflix announced that it had acquired “The Short Game,” a critically-acclaimed documentary about eight child golfers training to compete in the World Championship of Junior Golf.
Although the documentary from director Josh Greenbaum airs on December 12, Netflix is giving the world a sneak peek at these wunderkinds via a recently published teaser clip.
In the clip (below), the mini-golfers (not that they play mini golf, but they are actually… forget it) attempt to put into words what the sport of golf actually is. Naturally, because they are seven and because no one can really describe golf, the result is pretty dang adorable.
Greenbaum is also the creator and director of the recently aired, VideoInk-acclaimed Hulu documentary series “Behind the Mask.” “The Short Game” is executive produced by at least one former teen icon, including Jessica Biel, Justin Timberlake, Timm Oberwelland, John Battsek, and David Frankel. Greenbaum produced the film alongside Rafael Marmor and Christopher Leggett.
