A couple of weeks after completely redesigning its website, VEVO has struck a deal with Yahoo to bring its catalog of 75,000+ HD music videos to Yahoo and omg! in the UK.
Per the deal, VEVO videos will be available via Yahoo Screen’s and the omg!’s websites. Users will have access to all types of VEVO content, from official music videos created by top artists like Lady Gaga and Eminem to VEVO’s live concert specials and original programming.
Technically, this is an extension of an existing arrangement between VEVO and Yahoo, which already syndicates the music video programmer’s content in France, Italy, and Spain. Yahoo also oversees ad sales for VEVO in those countries.
VEVO is consistently the top “channel partner” for YouTube, based on comScore’s monthly video rankings. In October, the company topped more than 47.8 million unique viewers and 620 million views, with an average of 41.4 minutes per viewer.
