Crackle, the multi-platform entertainment service from Sony Pictures Television, has landed on Apple TV. Previously only available on PS3, Roku boxes, Sony Blu-ray players, Bravia TVs, iOS mobile devices, and Xbox 360, Crackle is now bringing its extensive library of Sony’s film and television content. The service also streams original content, including the Milo Ventimiglia-produced “Chosen,” which was renewed for a third season Wednesday.
The Crackle app on Apple TV, for the first time, offers content in high definition. TV shows like “The Shield,” “Seinfeld,” and “Damages” will be some the first programs to be offered in HD.
