YouTube comedy network Above Average is debuting a new show this week from “SNL” writers Paula Pell and James Anderson.
Called “Hudson Valley Ballers,” the six-episode series stars Pell and Anderson as versions of themselves — two best friends with no sexual chemistry who are now “queerballin’ through their days in the Hudson Valley.” Above Average will roll out two new episodes every day, beginning tomorrow December 17.
Pell and Anderson wrote the series with Michelle Lawler, and will play multiple characters in addition to headlining as heightened versions of themselves. Notably, “Hudson Valley Balllers” will also feature guest turns from “SNL” star Kate McKinnon and actor Paul Rudd, who will show up in the season’s first and final episodes.
“Hudson Valley Ballers” is directed by Silas Howard and produced for Above Average by Celeste Ballard. Brendan McMorrow also serves as supervising producer.
