Maker Studios Partners with Just for Laughs
Maker Studios has partnered with Just for Laughs Group, the Montreal-based organization behind the world-famous comedy festival. Per the deal, Maker Studios will now manage the Just for Laughs Gags YouTube channel, which currently reaches more than 3.75 million subscribers, as well as create a new channel to distribute archived original stand-up content from previous Just for Laughs festivals and tours.

Netflix to Offer ‘House of Cards’ Season Two in 4K Ultra HD
Not to be outdone by Amazon, Netflix has confirmed that it will offer “House of Cards” season two in 4K Ultra HD. Neil Hunt, chief product officer at Netflix, told the Stuff that the streaming service will shoot and edit season two “for 4K delivery.” Hunt added that additional content will be shot in Ultra HD, but not the entire Netflix original catalog.
