If you can’t wait more than a month for fresh “House of Cards” content, Netflix has you covered: The company just added director’s commentary to the first season of the Emmy-winning (and Golden Globe nominated) political drama.
Netflix is offering audio commentary from all six season one directors, including David Fincher (who won an Emmy for his directing work on the first two episodes of season one), James Foley (“Glengarry Glen Ross”), Joel Schumacher (“Falling Down”), Charles McDougall (“The Good Wife”), Carl Franklin (“Homeland”), and Allen Coulter (“The Sopranos”). You can find it as an added option under the subtitle and alternate audio preference section on the Netflix video player. The option is available to Netflix members in all territories the streaming service is available in.
Season two of “House of Cards” premieres on February 14, 2014. It’s one of the most anticipated dates in the 2014 television season.
The show comes from Oscar-nominated screenwriter Beau Willimon, and stars Oscar-winner Kevin Spacey, Robin Wright, and Kate Mara. Spacey and Wright were nominated by both the Emmys and the Golden Globes for their performances as the Washington power couple at the center of the show.
