The final submission deadline for the Vancouver Web Fest, described as Canada’s first web series festival, is almost here. Those looking to submit their shows for consideration can still do so at VancouverWebFest.com or by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The final entry deadline is January 15. UPDATE: The deadline has been extended to January 20.
If you’re not too familiar with the Vancouver Web Fest, here’s some info:
Scheduled to take place from May 2–4 in, you guessed it, Vancouver, the festival will celebrate “the progressive evolution of entertainment and programming created exclusively for the internet.” VWF, as we’ll refer to it, will bring both international and Canadian web series creators, producers, and fans together across a three-day festival comprised of a pre-launch party, screenings of web series, pitch sessions, industry-centric panels, and an awards ceremony.
Created by filmmaker Suzette Laqua, VWF will be sponsored by Dailymotion. The festival also has partnerships in place with other international online programming events like the Marseille Web Fest, Melbourne Web Fest, Hollyweb, and Roma Web Fest.
