Netflix continues to fill the cast for a still-untitled original drama from the Emmy-nominated creators of “Damages.”
Actor Ben Mendelsohn has joined the cast of the show, which is a domestic thriller about a “family of siblings whose secrets and scars are revealed when their black sheep brother returns home.” Mendelson, who is most famous for his villainous turn as Roland Daggett in Christopher Nolan’s 2012 blockbuster “The Dark Knight Rises,” will play the role of the returning brother, Danny.
He will join Emmy-winning actor Kyle Chandler, who was cast last week to play the role of the married middle brother who tries to keep the family together.
The untitled project, created by Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman, and Glenn Kessler (KZK), received a 13-episode first season order from Netflix in October. The show is produced by Sony Pictures Television.
Mendelsohn, who has also appeared in “Animal Kingdom” and “Girls,” is repped by CAA.
