Animalist, Discovery Digital Networks’ animal-focused video network, is launching a new channel and show today called Furrocious. Hosted by YouTuber, author, and musician Mike Falzone, “Furrocious” will spotlight some of nature’s most adorable animals, and then dissect the many ways they can hurt or kill you.
Sounds like fun! New episodes will roll out every Wednesday, beginning with this morning’s videos on Persian cats, Capuchin monkeys, and bunnies.
Falzone’s a good fit as host for this new program. On his own YouTube channel (which is close to 100,000 subscribers), the comedian regularly plays the role of an unofficial life coach, giving viewers advice they didn’t ask for and telling them things they shouldn’t be doing.
“Furrocious” is written by Travis Oberlander, directed by Jack Ferry and Joshua Caldwell, and edited by Lee Loechler (who also handled motion graphics for the show). Oberlander, Ferry, and Caldwell all also serve as producers. Mike Falzone is managed by Big Frame.
