Jeffrey Kaufman has been named senior vice president of digital at USA Network, where he will oversee content development, product development, and monetization strategies for the cable network’s digital properties.
Kaufman is a long-time veteran of the online video space. Prior to this move, he was SVP of digital video at Alloy Entertainment, where he oversaw the company’s digital franchises like Smosh, The Escapist, and Clevver Media. Before that, he spent time at Howcast and USA Network owner NBCUniversal. At NBCU, Kaufman was responsible for content strategy and editorial as NBCU, along with Fox and Disney, prepped the launch of Hulu.
Based in New York, Kaufman will now report to Alexandra Shapiro, EVP of brand marketing and strategy at USA Network.
