Young Hollywood, a producer of celebrity-focused online video content, is getting into bed with reality-TV stalwart FremantleMedia International.
FremantleMedia, the producer of TV hits such as “American Idol” and “The X-Factor,” has agreed to a first-look distribution deal with the digital studio. The deal covers all half-hour and hour-long content produced by Young Hollywood, including “Young Hollywood’s Greatest…” and “Young Hollywood Presents Evolution Of…”
This new agreement also comes after the two companies locked up distribution rights for the two aforementioned shows at MIPCOM. Since then (October 2013), the shows have been sold to more than 30 territories internationally.
“Young Hollywood’s Greatest…” is a countdown show that recaps popular and interesting moments between celebrities and the Young Hollywood cast and crew. Twenty-six episodes of the half-hour show have been produced to date. The other program, “Young Hollywood Presents Evolution Of,” tracks the history of celebrities from back when they were young to their celebrity status today.
