“HitStreak,” a transmedia series exclusively produced for the ShowMobile app, is welcoming YouTube beauty/fashion vlogger Lindsey Hughes as a guest star this week.
First some background: “HitStreak” is a scripted “mobile-first” series that follows four YouTube musicians who are trying to save a music studio. The story is told across multiple platforms and formats, including video, in-character social media accounts, and SMS and in-app messaging. New episodes are (initially) available on the ShowMobile app, which was built exclusively for this kind of content, before being distributed to YouTube a week later. On YouTube, the show has generated more than 15.5 million views since its October premiere.
Now, it’s looking for an additional boost with the casting of Hughes, whose BeautyBaby44 channel reaches more than 850,000 subscribers on YouTube.
Hughes will join the show this week to “style” cast member Crystal for an upcoming music video. The appearance will cover multiple videos (including the one embedded below) as well as the show’s accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
Hughes is repped by Collective Digital Studio.
