The show stars Jim Meskimen and Ross Marquand, two real-life celebrity impressionists who play fictionalized versions of themselves — two men who now want to be “real” dramatic actors. Written and directed by Ben Shelton, “The Impression Guys” also stars Angela Kinsey (“The Office”) and Amy Caste, with scheduled guest appearances from Matt Jones (“Breaking Bad”), Erika Christensen (“Parenthood”), Camryn Manheim (“The Practice”), and Brandon Routh (“Superman Returns,” “Chosen”).
Wilson executive produced.
“This is SoulPancake’s first venture into the scripted, half-hour comedy space,’” said Wilson in a statement, “and we believe the YouTube audience is ready for this next step in entertainment. This show has everything: humor, heart, great characters and storylines, amazing performances, and hilarious celebrity cameos.”
Produced largely at YouTube Space LA, the first season of “The Impression Guys” consists of six episodes. New installments will be published to SoulPancake (over 1 million subscribers) every Monday at 4pm PT.
