On the latest episode of “Ear Biscuits with Rhett & Link,” the two friends turned the tables and tried a new tactic: interviewing each other instead of a guest. Pointing out that the “key to success and maintaining relevance in the entertainment world is trying new things,” Rhett & Link said they would intersperse these sorts of episodes to change things up on the podcast. This week’s theme: Rhett & Link’s childhood.
Friends since elementary school, the two still had some questions about each other’s pasts. Using questions from Twitter followers and their own inquiring minds, here are some fun facts Rhett & Link revealed about their childhoods:
Link was “terrified” to stay at other people’s houses, while Rhett was “fascinated” by just “taking a look in [other people’s] refrigerators.
Before heading to engineering school with Link, Rhett was aiming for a pro athlete career in basketball.
Rhett & Link took a blood oath as kids to work together as adults.
Link excelled in school because he felt it to be his responsibility. Rhett did because he was afraid of his father.
Rhett watched lots of horror movies with his mother as child.
The YouTube partners have never, ever punched each other in the face.
