Ford is sponsoring a new series from AOL called “This Built America,” which across 50 episodes will showcase the “rejuvenation of manufacturing in America.” Each episode will spotlight a company in a different state, with new episodes rolling out throughout the year on AOL On as well as AOL-owned sites like AOL.com, The Huffington Post, Autoblog, Engadget, Daily Finance, and AOL Jobs.
AOL refers to the show as a “multi-platform content series” — meaning that in addition to 50 episodes, the series will also offer articles, photo essays, interactive maps, and other types of content.
As first reported by AdAge, Ford’s sponsorship of “This Built America” includes custom-made pre-rolls created with input from the show’s producers and mimicking the show’s look and feel. Ford’s deal with AOL is worth almost $10 million, per the report.
