Fox Sports has promoted Pete Vlastelica to executive vice president of digital.
“Since taking on an expanded role with Fox Sports last year, Pete has implemented a new strategic vision that is driving the evolution of our digital business,” said Eric Shanks, Fox Sports president and COO, in a statement. “He has set us on the right course to strengthen our digital business and position it for the future.”
Vlastelica was behind the deal Fox Sports struck with YouTube for the Fox Sports Digital VideoFest, a competition that awarded YouTubers AVByte a promotional and development deal worth $1 million.
Vlastelica joined Fox Sports in 2010 when the company acquired Yardbarker, which he co-founded in 2006. As EVP, he will continue to report to Shanks.
