Felicia Day’s Geek & Sundry has teamed with Microsoft to launch “Unplugged,” a new series that reimagines what popular video games would look like in real life.
Developed by the Geek & Sundry creative team, “Unplugged” will feature a rotating cast of YouTube stars (and game lovers) to bring popular video-game scenarios to life. Hosted by Ashly Burch, “Unplugged”’s guest cast includes Justine Ezarik (iJustine), Clinton Jones (Pwnisher), Meghan Camarena (Strawburry17), and the Corridor Digital crew, among others.
The series launches today, with new episodes rolling out on a weekly basis.
Video games spotlighted by the series will include “Need for Speed,” “Warthunder,” “League of Legends,” and “Farming Simulator 2013.”
As series sponsor, Microsoft, which approached Geek & Sundry with the show idea, is embedding the Surface Pro 2 tablet into every episode of the show.
