YouTube software company Pixability has named Pete Martin its new VP of engineering. In his new role, he will be responsible for spearheading a “significant expansion” of both Pixability’s infrastructure and its engineering team, the company said.
He will report to Pixability CEO Bettina Hein and will work closely with CTO and YouTube data scientist Andreas Goeldi.
Pixability is a YouTube technology company for brands and agencies to better understand how the platform works, and develop strategies to take advantage of that. A couple of months ago, the company released an interesting analysis of the beauty sector on YouTube, finding that for all of the beauty content that’s available on the site, very little of it comes from brands — a huge missed opportunity.
The company highlighted some of its findings on the YouTube ecosystem at a “UberTube” event it hosted during Newfronts week. The event was keynoted by Lucas Watson, VP of global brand solutions at Google.
Most recently, Martin served as VP of engineering at digital video advertising company Tremor Video.
