Online comedy network My Damn Channel has inked a distribution deal for videos created by The Turkeys, a Minneapolis-based troupe whose members have appeared on the likes of “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “Conan,” and “Last Comic Standing.”
Per the deal, The Turkeys’ new channel, which launches today with three new video sketches, will be managed by the My Damn Channel comedy network. Going forward, the group plans to release a new video every Tuesday.
Comprised of stand-up comedians Gabe Noah, Chris Maddock, Kjell Bjorgen, Isaac Witty, Nate Abshire, Gus Lynch, and Chris Knutson, as well as filmmaker Matt Olson, The Turkeys were formed in February 2012 to produce original online comedy content and live events. To date, the group’s videos have generated more than 200,000 views, a number the team hopes to increase via the deal with My Damn Channel.
My Damn Channel, the company, was founded in 2007 to create and distribute online comedy content. Earlier this spring, the company rebranded to Omnivision Entertainment, which now oversees the My Damn Channel comedy network as an in-house division.
