Now that we’ve hit constant 70 to 80 degree weather here in New York, summer has officially arrived, and with it comes season two of “@SummerBreak,” the social media reality series that followed a group of high school seniors during their last summer before college the previous year. Now, The Chernin Group and AT&T will showcase a new cast, whose tweets, Instragrams, Tumblrs, and Vines will supplement video footage capturing the lives of post-high school California teens.
This season, “@SummerBreak” will also spread to SnapChat, so the nine, LA teenagers featured in the series can further take advantage of showing off through social media. Some of last season’s cast will also make appearances, joining the new members on their YouTube channel for a June 24 season debut.
In addition the The Chernin Group and AT&T, ad agency BBDO also produces the show, along with help from Astronauts Wanted, a production company headed by former MTV Networks CEO Judy McGrath. Created and executively produced by Billy Parks, “@SummerBreak” has come out with a season two trailer, which makes summer LA living for teens look almost impossibly ideal.
