Since the last VidCon, what are the changes you’ve seen to the YouTube platform/community, if any, and do you feel those changes are for the better?
I haven’t seen any blanket changes. Obviously, in a year a lot of trends change — and there are new creators. But I haven’t seen any physical or platform based changes. Honestly, I don’t pay super close attention to what other people are doing… I like to keep unique to myself and my brand so I just stay in my little bubble most of the time!
Part of a successful channel is regularly uploading content, but if you had to choose only ONE video of your own that best defines you and your channel, which would it be?
Ooh, that’s not even fair!! My channel is so diverse. It can’t really be defined in one video. But I would probably choose my first “Day in the Life” video, because my main goal on my channel is to stay true to myself and my personality no matter what I am creating…and the “Day in the Life” vids show that best!
If you could trade places with another YouTuber for a day, who would it be and why?
Annoying Orange! It would be fun to just sit on a counter with no responsibility or work… and just be annoying.
What’s your favorite comment one of your videos has ever received? The weirdest?
A 12 year old girl told me my videos saved her from committing suicide because they made her feel that it’s ok to be different. I bawled my eyes out!! And I get weird feet fetish people commenting about how delicious my toes are on my shoe collection video!
Tell me something about the future of your channel. What’s something you haven’t done yet that you’d like to do? Whether it’s a collab with a certain person, a different kind of format, or something else!
I really want to start playing with different eras for my hair and makeup tutorials. And I would really love to start doing more videos about body positivity and self-image. I want my channel to be real and transcend beauty. Beauty is fun, but there is more to life as a human and as a woman, and I want to branch into those issues as well!
