Veenome, a provider of video viewability and verification solutions, has launched a new product to help advertisers make better decisions on buying ads on YouTube.
Called YouTube Channel Brand Safety, the product provides a criteria of brand safety and video attributes that are designed for YouTube channels and content, says Veenome. Specifically, the product uses Veenome’s technology to analyze the actual image and audio content of videos on YouTube channels. Pairing this with information on the channel page, including texts, comments, and various metadata, Brand Safety provides a quality score for YouTube channels.
The idea is that by knowing the actual quality of content available on any YouTube channel, advertisers can make smarter decisions on where to place their ads.
The quality scores, in addition to the data that makes up the scores, will be provided to clients on a real-time basis.
“As a natural product extension of our current offerings, brand safety across YouTube Channel videos enables brands to invest smarter, while focusing on highly targeted and quality media and performance while vigilantly protecting their brand,” said Veenome Founder and CEO, Kevin Lenane, in a statement.
Off YouTube, Veenome’s video ad platform is also able to analyze videos on webpages and sites. This includes data relating to player size and position on the page, in addition to the category of the content within the clip and even whether it’s an auto-play video or not.
