Toronto-based Blue Ant Media has opened a sales office in New York City to support its recent investment in LA-based Omnia Media, a YouTube multi-channel network focused on music and gaming.
The office will be led by Jason Cason, who has been hired to lead the Blue Ant Media Solutions team on the East Coast. Previously, Cason was director of partner development at the gaming-focused YouTube network Machinima.
“Jason’s experience in MCN brand integrations will be integral to our growth and will continue to build upon the success we have had with key brands,” said Ryan Fuss, SVP of solutions, Blue Ant Media, in a statement. “Our expansion into the US gives us the ability to integrate global brands with our YouTube artists to create unique content marketing programs and activations.”
Through Omnia Media, Blue Ant Media is offering advertisers access to more than 750 YouTube creators across three categories: music (Aux Music Network), gaming (Square One), and style (Style Collective). Collectively, these channels generate over 800 million views per month, the company said.
With Aux Music Network, Blue Ant says there are opportunities also available across its iOS- and Android-based digital magazines, website, and content production arm.
Blue Ant’s investment in Omnia was said to be in the seven figures, and was made to boost the MCN’s ad sales and branded content capabilities.
Overall, Blue Ant owns and operates 11 media brands across television, magazines, mobile, and web.
