With a successful Kickstarter campaign under its belt, “Fallout: Nuka Break” now adds new talent of its latest installment. Chris Avellone and Brian Fargo will feature as guest stars in “Tales from the Wasteland,” which provides a backstory to The Ranger, an important “Nuka Break” character.
A video game designer for “Fallout 2,” “Fallout: New Vegas,” and parts of the overall Wasteland landscape, Avellone will appear in “Tales from the Wasteland” alongside Fargo, founder of Interplay Entertainment and the company’s head during various “Fallout” releases. The scene including these normally behind-the-scenes game enthusiasts will be available in extended version in the short film’s special features.
Furthermore, some lucky backers of the short will be able to join Avellone and Fargo in the short as an exclusive promotion from Kickstarter.
“Tales from the Wasteland” will be produced by Wayside Creations. Based in Los Angeles, the company focuses on adaptations of live-action video games and has already worked on production of “Fallout: Nuka Break” seasons one and two.
