Most of you might be familiar with Joey Graceffa as a top vlogger on YouTube, but the creator, who has more than 3.6 million subscribers, has been expanding his repertoire in the past year to include “higher-quality,” scripted content.
Here’s the trailer for the latest, “Eon,” what looks to be a short-film from Graceffa and production partner Andrew Vallentine:
A mystery-thriller, “Eon” follows a lonely drifter (Graceffa) who finds a mysterious boy named Eon (Mikey Licari) alone in the desert. While trying to get him back home, the duo find themselves being chased by the FBI, while the drifter is forced to confront the mistakes of his past.
Written by Daniel Kish from a story developed by Graceffa and Vallentine, “Eon” will be released via Vimeo on Sunday, July 20. Graceffa and Kaitlyn Nichols produced, with Vallentine in the director’s chair.
This won’t be the only scripted digital project from Graceffa this year. The star also has a deal with New Form, the digital studio backed by Discovery, Ron Howard, and Brian Grazer, to produce a short film.
