Festivals connecting popular online video creators with their fans is the new big thing.
Maybe spurred on by events such as Digitour and the recently announced Socialcon, or the “granddaddy” of them all, VidCon, Fullscreen says it will be producing its own “interactive social festival.” Called InTour, the event will bring Fullscreen talent across YouTube and Vine together in one place to meet and perform in front of their fans.
Set to take place in mid-September at the Pasadena Convention Center, the event is being produced by Kevin Lyman and 4Fini, the man and company behind the Warped Tour. “When approached by Fullscreen to help produce this event, it made total sense given our history of developing longstanding music festivals,” said Lyman in a statement. “These creators have built incredible relationships with fans with their videos, and we’re excited to bring that online experience off the screens and onto the stage.”
Talent scheduled to appear and perform include Connor Franta, Ricky Dillon, Jc Caylen, Sam Tsui, JennXPenn, Alx James, Brent Rivera, Crawford Collins, WeeklyChris, Dylan Dauzat, Charity Vance, and FreshBigMouf. Fans can expect live musical performances, sketch comedy shows, games, meet-and-greets, and all of the usual live fun.
Ticketing information, including a VIP pass that gets you a meal with the entire Intour cast of creators, is available on InTour’s website. Tickets go on sale Saturday, July 19.
