Jukin Media has launched an international licensing division to accelerate the company’s growth overseas.
“We’re already licensing our content to media companies all over the world, but having a presence on the ground in Europe will drive our continued growth,” said Jonathan Skogmo, founder and CEO of Jukin, in a statement.
As part of Jukin’s international push, the company said it will also have an increased presence at international trade shows, beginning with MIPCOM 2014, where it will also be an exhibitor.
Jukin is primarily known for finding and acquiring popular user-generated video clips and then licensing that content to traditional TV networks, digital publishers, agencies, brands, and production companies.
The new division, based in London, will be helmed by David O’Hare, a former sales manager at Zodiak Clips.
