YouTube’s Grace Helbig is officially making her way to E!, as first reported by Deadline. With working title “The Grace Helbig Project,” the upcoming show will feature Helbig in a talk-show format with a comedic edge.
Having been in the works for a while, Helbig’s cable show still has no set airtime or debut. However, with Chelsea Handler leaving the network, the spot belonging to “Chelsea Lately” could serve as Helbig’s new TV home. The comedians may even end up switching media, as Handler’s projected to eventually make her way to Netflix.
Sony’s Embassy Row is producing the pilot for E!. It won’t be Helbig’s entry into non-digital media, as she’s already made an appearance on E! before, when she was featured in the special “Countdown to the Red Carpet: The 2014 Academy Awards.”
Helbig currently has upwards of 1.8 million subscribers to her main YouTube channel, It’sGrace. She’s received both a Webby and a Streamy for her work in the digital entertainment industry.
