The Oprah Winfrey Network continues to carve out its niche in the digital realm. The network has announced an expansion of its online offerings complete with celebrity appearances in the new series, “Who Am I,” which was developed in partnership with the team at YouTube Space LA.
Premiering Thursday, August 28, “Who Am I” asks celebrities the title question in roughly three-minute episodes. Available every Thursday, the episodes will feature Nicole Richie, who’s already made a digital video splash with the AOL series “#CandidlyNicole,” YouTube beauty guru Michelle Phan, Randy Jackson, and La Toya Jackson, among others.
“Who Am I” follows the OWN digital series “#OWNShow.” Debuting episodes daily, “#OWNShow” tells the stories of people in Oprah’s wide umbrella, having launched back in March 2014.
OWN’s YouTube channel, OWN TV, currently boasts over 300,000 subscribers (creators who work out of YouTube Space LA need at least 100,000 for a free residency). “Who Am I” will not be the last of OWN’s digital programming to show up on both the network’s YouTube channel and website, Oprah.com, as the network has more plans to expand online.
