AnyClip Media, a provider of a programmatic video distribution and advertising platform, has launched a new tool to improve the transparency and brand-safety of its inventory.
Called the Play Safe Widget, the ad-fraud solution is able to determine if a website is brand-safe and relevant for advertisers, the company said. It is also able to ensure that if a video player is not viewable on a particular webpage, the ad won’t be served. And on the bot traffic issue, the Widget analyzes traffic sources to identify suspicious behavior and block non-human traffic.
While designed for its own digital video distribution network, the tool will also be available to help the digital video-ad ecosystem at-large, the company said.
AnyClip works with an array of content providers, from Hollywood studios, TV networks, and producers to advertisers, to distribute content across publishers in its network. According to the company, its metadata technology has the ability to “sense the context of a web page” in order to serve relevant content to that outlet.
The Play Safe widget is the first in a series of “inventory protection” tools AnyClip plans to release, according to company CEO Oren Nauman.
