Ora.TV, the digital video producer and network behind shows like Larry King’s “Larry King Now” and William Shatner’s “Brown Bag Wine Tasting,” is launching a new reality-competition show with Tonya Lewis Lee.
Lee, wife of director Spike Lee, will serve as producer and host of “Queen Bee,” a new competition to find the next great female entrepreneur. In the series, which will debut on Tuesday, October 28, contestants are challenged to create the next big consumer brand.
Along the way, the contestants will be mentored by successful businessmen and women including Julie Roehm, SVP of SAP, Divya Gugnani, co-founder of Send the Trend, and Lawrence Lenihan, founder and managing director of FirstMark Capital.
To determine the winner, the series will incorporate audience feedback by encouraging them to back (via crowdfunding campaigns) their favorite ideas.
