YouNow, self-described as a “live video social network” in which vloggers interact with their viewers in real time via comments, has created its own partner program.
Currently in beta, the program allows YouNow’s most watched broadcasters to monetize their live video content based on the number of audience engagements. More interactions with their viewers means more revenue for YouNow partners.
What’s perhaps most appealing for partners (or aspiring partners) at YouNow is that earnings are available immediately at the end of every broadcast (since they’re all live, people only get that one chance to watch).
YouNow reports a typical broadcast length of about 30 minutes and around 100,000 daily broadcasts, adding up to around 100 million per month. Creators on the platform span a wide variety of categories signified by hashtags, from #bored and #girls to #sisterquiz, #musicians, and # — — tweerk.
Apparently, some of them can now make a living wage from doing whatever it is they do on YouNow.
