Leading up to Thanksgiving, people on Facebook have been asking their friends (and probably also their “friends”) what they’d like to give thanks for during this reflective time of year.
The data, all made anonymous and taken from Facebook-using English speakers in the United States, found something that may not be all too surprising. Plenty of states stood out for their inhabitants’ collective gratefulness for social media — and YouTube in particular.
California, Virginia, and Delaware all distinctively pointed out YouTube as something to specially acknowledge this Thanksgiving. California, home to a large quantity of professional YouTubers, certainly makes sense on this list — but you can’t fault the other two states for embracing the digital video platform, either.
Also worth noting, New Hampshire denizens shared a particularly grateful attitude towards streaming giant Netflix. Meanwhile, states like Hawaii, Alaska, and Washington boast residents grateful for items with such purity we’ve got to give them some credit, those being rainbows, children’s laughter, and the ability to love, respectively.
