A week full of executive shuffles. The latest includes Fullscreen’s vice president of East Coast brand strategy Justin Danko, who has resigned, according to one source inside the company, and taken a post at Fuisz Media as their new vice president of sales and partnerships, East Coast.
Fuisz’s technology platform enables brands and media companies to bring item-level interactivity to their video content, making products, people, and other objects within the video shareable and shoppable. Prior to Fullscreen, Danko was VP of branded entertainment for music and entertainment at Viacom.
In addition to Danko, Jay Veraldi, Fullscreen’s SVP of strategy and business development, is also on his way out.
According to Fullscreen’s reps, the departure is amicable and Veraldi will stay on board as a consultant. According to sources inside the company, Veraldi’s departure is, in part, due to disagreements he had with the founders on the development and direction of Fullscreen’s teen-focused SVOD service. He’s said to have received a nice severance. Other sources received communications from Veraldi a few weeks back stating he had resigned, and would hold a consultancy role “for appearances.” Veraldi has been at Fullscreen since 2011. He is also an investor and advisor to Fuisz Media.
