As CES was getting underway earlier this week, Dish Network finally took the wraps off Sling TV, its internet-based TV service designed specifically for those who have cut the cord or were never interested in paying for expensive TV subscriptions. At $20 per month, Sling TV will offer access to 12 cable channels — including the biggest one: ESPN.
Unfortunately, unless you were in Las Vegas for CES, you have no idea how the product works — outside of a few screenshots here and there.

The most striking thing about the service? As the presenter says, the product features a really simple user interface, making it easy for users to stream channels and switch between live TV and VOD. (In addition to the 12 TV channels, Sling TV will also offer access to VOD content as well as clips from Maker Studios.)
Sling TV is expected to roll out in the first quarter of 2015.
