Netflix is moving forward with its first Spanish-language original series, “Club de Cuervos.”
Produced by Alazraki Entertainment and the creative team behind one of the most popular Mexican films of all time, “We Are the Nobles,” the comedy series will focus on a family feud between the heirs of a soccer club after the owner dies.
Filmed entirely in Mexico, the cast includes Luis Gerardo Mendez (who starred in “We Are the Nobles”), Mariana Trevino, Stephanie Cayo, Daniel Gimenez Cacho, Antonio de la Vega, and Ianis Guerrero. The series is created by Mike Lam and directed by Gaz Alazraki, with Alazraki, Lam, and Leo Zimbron producing.
Spanning 13 episodes, “Club de Cuervos” will premiere across all Netflix territories later in 2015. It was greenlit by Netflix in April 2014.
