Two members of the recently disbanded YouTube supergroup Our2ndLife have come together to launch a new YouTube channel.
Kian Lawley, who on his own channel reaches more than 2.4 million subscribers, and Jc Caylen, who has close to 2.1 million subscribers, have launched KianAndJc, which debuts with more than 500,000 subscribers. (The channel is helped by the fact that it’s been around since July 2014.)
The new channel will be a home for Lawley and Caylen to experiment with new types of content, as well as develop premium projects that could expand beyond YouTube and into traditional media. Current plans include collaborations with various YouTube and mainstream stars that would air on Mondays, as well as original, professionally-shot short films that would debut on Fridays.
The teen stars are currently “in talks” with Hollywood agencies to find writers and directors to develop such projects with, according to a spokesperson on behalf of the YouTube stars.
Lawley and Caylen are managed by Big Frame’s Andrew Graham, who will serve as a producing partner for the new channel. They are also represented by the law offices of David Matlof and Danny Miller at Hirsch Wallerstein Hayum Matlof + Fishman. The new channel is networked with Fullscreen.
Both will continue to shoot videos for their individual channels during this time.
Our2ndLife, the group they used to be a part of, disbanded in December so that each individual member could pursue their own projects.
