Omnia Media, a multi-channel network on YouTube that’s backed by Blue Ant Media, is launching a new division focused on women’s lifestyle, expanding its reach beyond its core strengths in music, gaming, and entertainment.
The division, called GlamBoothTV, will be home to beauty and style stars represented by Omnia Media. Initially, the roster includes The LaVigne family (more than 700,000 subscribers), Rose Russo (more than 491,000 subscribers), fashion adviser Ricky Richards (77,000 subscribers), and JennisseMakeup (205,000 subscribers).
The centerpiece of the division, though, is its GlamBooth YouTube channel. According to Omnia, it will start producing original content (in the form weekly series) for GlamBooth, including: “GlamzBuzz,” which will feature a rotating cast of online stars, including Viner Landon Moss and YouTuber MissTiffanyMa; “Glamify,” a tips series; and “Glambition,” which is described as a “character transformation” show.
StyleHaul’s manager of talent acquisitions and development Carmen Wong has been hired to run GloomBoothTV as the division head.
Overall, Omnia said it network reaches more than 80 million subscribers on YouTube, supported by a network of more than 1,000 creators. Like other YouTube networks, its eying expansions to other social and digital platforms, including Vine, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat.
